Our guest today is Angie Hundley, author of the book, A Recipe for Bad Lemons, Ingredients for Success from Life’s Sour Moments. In her debut book, Angie shares how she used determination and grit to create a successful life, even in the midst of traumatic events.
Angie is a mother of four children and shares personal stories from her own childhood, including being in the foster care system, being molested by her mother’s boyfriend and later being abandoned by her mother.
Despite these extreme challenges, Angie says she never anticipated just how successful she would become. Giving up was never an option, and Angie used each negative circumstance in her life to fuel her drive to beat the low success rates for foster children.
During our discussion, Angie also shares:
- Why getting adopted was a turning point in her life
- How she transitioned from a college student to a mother
- How she overcame traumatizing events in her life
- Why she concealed her childhood for so long
- Why people go through an anger phase
